In a renovated 18th-century farmhouse, the gîte brings together 15 people: a large dining room with a lounge area, 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and a pool in summer. Ideal for a family reunion or a weekend with friends.

At 1,050 m altitude, you can set off on foot or by mountain bike straight from the gîte, with a lovely view over Les Plans d’Hotonnes. In winter, cross-country and downhill skiing are close at hand.

 vérifié We were a large family group of 15 plus 2 babies staying at the end of June into July The house absorbed us easily. The pool was really great and indispensable as we were in a heat wave. There is no air conditioning but the interiors were cool. The setting is just sensational - so tranquil with the sounds of birds, sheep bells and the views of the ski slopes and forests surrounding the plain. Beautiful wildflowers, so many different butterflies. Very few people! We walked across the newly mown fields to the community garden which was delightful to explore. We recommend lake swimming at Genin and Nantua and walking the caves at Cerdon. We made some beautiful hikes around the house itself - when it was cool enough. There’s a pretty good wee shop in Hortonne but not always open. We bought really good meat from a Saturday farm shop in Hortonne. Otherwise we visited bigger supermarchés on the way back from day trips. This was an idyllic holiday for us and truly memorable.

How many people can the gîte sleep?

Up to 15 people, in 6 bedrooms across two floors (195 m²).

Which options do you offer?

Full board, half board or self-catering. Per adult per night: €72.50 full board and €57.50 half board. Self-catering: €700 for a two-night weekend, and from €230 per night in low season (outside weekends).

What are the arrival and departure times?

Arrival from 4 pm and departure by 10 am. For a weekend, from Friday 4 pm to Sunday 4 pm. Outside weekends, two nights minimum.

Is bed linen provided?

Yes, bed linen and bath towels are provided. An end-of-stay cleaning service is available as an option (€150).

Is the pool open all year?

The pool (4 x 10 m) is open in summer only and is subject to house rules.

Are pets allowed?

No, pets are not allowed. The gîte is non-smoking, and parties and evening events are not permitted.

Can we have meals on site?

Yes. With full board or half board, you enjoy simple, traditional cooking that favours local produce. A single meal is also possible during your stay (€25 per adult). Our farm inn also offers monthly evenings, group meals by reservation and opening during the school holidays and ski weekends.
